Cougar Baseball Weekly Update 5/6/19

Greetings Cougar Nation,

Please take a minute to scroll through this email for important updates.

LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS FOR FUNDRAISING OPPORTUNITY

Revel Rockies and DRIVE SMART are looking for sweepers to follow the last runner during the Revel Rockies marathon on Sunday, June 2nd. A $500 donation will be made to the Baseball Booster club if we are able to provide 6 to 8 people to help with course sweeping.

If possible we would like to organize three to four people to take the first half and three to four people to take the second half using a car to trade off sweeping and riding in the car. Here is the job description of a course sweeper:

Course Trash Sweepers are in charge of picking up trash along the course. This may include cups, water bottles, gel packets, clothes, etc that are strewed on the road in between aid stations. Aid stations are placed approximately every two miles along the course. The two miles in between these aid stations are most critical for the sweepers and picking up items. Upon reaching an aid station any full bags of trash can be left for the clean-up crew. Trash bags will be provided at the start line(s) and any additional trash bags needed on the course can be picked up at aid stations.

First half sweepers start at 5:30 am on Squaw Pass and finish at 8:45 am at Evergreen Dental Group (Lewis Ridge Road and Evergreen Pkwy.) Second half sweepers start at 8:45 am at Evergreen Dental Group and finish at approximate 11:45 in Morrison.

To volunteer, please contact Marie Lynch at 303-250-3133 or Todd Shiro at flyerbuff@hotmail.com

We have many more opportunities for fundraising. On the horizon is a new scoreboard and an upgraded concession stand, but we need your help to get there! To learn more, visit the fundraising page on the website.
