5.29 through 6.8 are 6 reserved dates by our League. At the conclusion of League play (8 games) Jeffco 4A League Champion will be awarded. Teams will be split into 3 groups top, middle and bottom based on their League record (8 games) and seeded 1-9. Teams will play each team in their group twice (4 games over 6 dates), but these games do not count towards Jeffco 4A League championship. On those bye dates we will practice.
Due to CV-19 concerns we are not requesting Jeffco bus service for travel to AWAY games this year and are asking for parent support in getting their student-athlete(s) to AWAY games. Please advise if this is a problem. We recognize that some players carpool to AWAY games and our practices at All-Star Park (ASP). We have asked student-athletes to make sure that they are coordinating such with their parents and the parents of each player riding in a student-athlete or parent driven car-pool. CV-19 best practices have been posted, discussed, and emphasized. If a student-athlete contracted CV-19 that player has to follow the Jeffco “Return-to-Play” protocol. Player pre-practice and pre-play CV-19 evaluations are conducted.
We ask that any concerns or issues be brought to the attention of a member of the 2021 coaching staff.
We also ask that parents get involved with our Evergreen Cougar Baseball Booster Club, without which we could not have a successful program. We need volunteers to help with: HOME game announcing/music, GameChanger scoring, scoreboard operation, concessions, field pre- and post-game prep, and foul ball coordinators; team logistics/communication coordinator; team specific video collection coordinator; fund raising; and special projects.
